WHAT IS A 'DISTANT PATIENT'?
A Distant Patient is a person who is unable to personally attend a consultation with one of our practitioners at our Perth Natural Medical Clinic.

They may be unable for some reason to travel even short distances; their work schedules may prevent them from being able to visit during our normal clinic hours; they may reside in country towns or remote locations of Australia such as farming properties, cattle stations or minesites; or like a number of our patients, they may reside interstate or overseas.

HOW DOES A 'DISTANT PATIENT CONSULTATION' WORK?
The 'Distant Patient Consultation' (DPC) process is relatively straightforward. Firstly, the prospective patient contacts our clinic by phone, fax or email outlining his/her health concerns. Our front desk staff will then recommend a suitable health professional to help you and make arrangements for a mutually satisfactory time for your first DP

Your first DPC would normally last approximately 30 minutes and this Our front desk then contacts you by phone or email to make arrangements for a mutually satisfactory time for your first DPC, whwill be effected by a reverse charge (collect) phone call. Subsequent DPC's would normally last approximately 20 minutes.

At the conclusion of the consultation, the practitioner may recommend to you dietary changes and possibly naturopathic, nutritional, herbal, homoeopathic or other natural remedies from our clinic Dispensary. These are high-potency products which can only be prescribed by practitioners registered by the Australian Government's Therapeutic Goods Administration, and are not available as ordinary low-potency 'over-the-counter' pharmacy or health store medications. Any dietary recommendations will then be emailed /faxed/posted to you depending on your preference.

That's it! Your practitioner may also recommend a further DPC at a future date in order to monitor your progress and make any adjustments to your treatment which might be necessary. Our aim is always to help you maintain your wellness once your health has improved.

HOW MUCH DOES A DPC COST?
The cost of your first DPC is $75-00 including your personal dietary recommendations. Subsequent DPC's cost $65-00; these consultations are GST-free. When our front desk staff call you to arrange a suitable time for your first DPC, you will be asked for your credit card details; you should have these details ready for us at that time.

WHAT ABOUT HEALTH REBATES?
Natural Therapy consultations are now covered by most Health Funds.
