| ELECTRODERMAL
SCREENING
What is Electrodermal Screening?
Electrodermal Screening is a screening procedure to measure changes
in electrical resistance along the acupuncture pathways of the body.
It is painless, non-invasive and accurate.
How does Electrodermal Screening work?
Electrical skin conductance is measured at acupuncture points on
the hands and sometimes feet by a device called an Ohmmeter. Balance
of these acupuncture points is defined as the ability of electrons
to flow through the body at a standard resistance value. An imbalance
is defined as a higher or lower resistance value than the standard.
Both practitioner and patient can see the results during testing
on an LCD display.
What
is Electrodermal Screening used for?
Electrodermal Screening can measure the vitality or possible problem
areas of a person being tested. It can also identify problem foods,
as well as aiding the practitioner in their selection of the most
beneficial vitamins and minerals via a testing plate. The testing
plate can also be used to identify the stressors and/or phenolics
(aromatic compounds that colour, flavour and preserve foods) that
may be affecting the health of the patient.
