What
is Myopractic?
Myopractic
focuses on muscles and the part they play in bachaches, neck pain
and posture imbalances and compensations. Many of our aches and
pains stem from accidents or the stresses and strains of modern
living. Sitting at a computer desk can create specific pain conditions
from the imposed postural disturbances. This leads to a variety
of spinal, shoulder, arm and wrist conditions, which in turn give
rise to headaches, neck pain and back pain.
Daily
stresses accumulate from walking, studying exercise, gardening,
housework, sitting or slouching in chairs, sleep and sport. Left
for years, this can often lead to a gradual deterioration to a stage
of virtually constant pain. Often pain is the first signal that
our body is in trouble. The reality is the pain condition is the
end result of a condition of imbalance that has been present for
years.
How
does Myopractic work?
A
myopractor uses a series of firm rolling moves on muscles, tendons
and ligaments in specific directions to release any lesions. The
depth of these moves depends on where lesions are situated, and
pressure is dictated by patient tolerance in addition to what is
necessary to achieve normal function.
Myopractic
is now a nationally recognised and fully government accredited course
of study in its own right, and is gradually being recognised by
health benefit funds Australia-wide.
In
general, myopractic is effective for sporting injuries, aching muscles
and joints, nervous stress and many internal organ imbalances. It
can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, from acute injuries
to long standing pain conditions.
Myopractic
consultations are covered by most major health
funds.
