Real, Lasting Change

Early in my career I trained as a counsellor however I found that only listening, while this is incredibly important and necessary at times, wasn’t always supportive of the kind of change that people were wanting. Hypnotherapy with my background in counselling, offered a way I could provide another step forward towards real, lasting change for the people I work with.

What is Hypnotherapy?ļ»æ

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses gentle hypnosis to help individuals access their subconscious mind, where deeply ingrained beliefs, habits and emotions reside. It is not the kind of hypnosis that you might associate with stage shows where people are compelled to act like a chicken!


Hypnotherapy with me is more like a guided meditation where you are able to enter a deeply relaxing state, and access the subconscious mind. By moving past the conscious mind, hypnotherapy can help individuals heal from past traumas and grief, as well as overcome negative thought patterns, behaviours, and emotions that may be holding them back from experiencing the life they want for themselves.

How Hypnotherapy differs from Life Coachingļ»æ

Life Coaching works with the conscious mind, offering tools and processes that help individuals clarify their goals, identify obstacles, and develop skills and strategies to overcome them. Through a collaborative and supportive relationship with a coach, individuals can gain greater self-awareness, motivation, and confidence to achieve their desired outcomes.

Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching Work Together

While these two modalities may have a different focus, they can work together synergistically to help you to overcome deeply entrenched habits or emotional patterns so that you can more easily work towards your goals, which are made clear and achievable through coaching. By combining the insights and practical tools of life coaching with the deep transformational work of hypnotherapy, you benefit from a more holistic approach to personal growth and change.
